Rationale

Wet woodland can play an important role in flood risk management – a role that is set to increase in years to come as greater use is made of natural flood management solutions. This target is based on work currently taking place to make stream corridors wetter in the Medway catchment; however, reaching the target relies on funding being obtained to continue work beyond 2021.
