Status

The National Status is Near Threatened. Butterfly Conservation’s county priority for this butterfly is High, because Kent is home to 14% of the national population.

Rationale

Adonis Blue is restricted to, and representative of, good quality chalk grassland habitat, and as such is an indicator of wider habitat quality and a healthy, functioning and managed landscape.
